THE MANAGEMENT OF THE LEAGUE SHALL BE VESTED IN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS, WHICH SHALL CONSIST OF THE OFFICERS AND TEAM CAPTAINS. ANY CHANGE OF ADOPTED RULES WILL REQUIRE A 100% VOTE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

1. SCHEDULE
The league will bowl on SUNDAY, starting on SEPTEMBER 7, 1997 and ending on May 31, 1998. Practice begins at 12:50 pm. League play begins at 1:00 pm. The league will have a guaranteed sweeper and roll-off on JUNE 7, 1998. Since sweeper is guaranteed, sweeper lineage will be $5.00. There will be a Split Season. winner of 1st half will bowl wimer of 2nd half for league championship, all other place positions will be deternnined by total season games won. Holidays will be DECEMBER 28, 1997, JANUARY 4, 1998, APRIL 12, 1998, MAY 25,1998. Position Rounds will be 4, WKS # 8, 17, 26, 35. The first Position Round will be on lanes 1-2, therealter, each position mmd will move one pair to the right. This is a binding agreement with the Bowling Center.

2. ROSTERS
This league will consist of __ teams with a playing strength of 4 on a team, rosters are limited to 6 members. Teams will consist of a 2/2 or 3/1 combination. Roster changes must be reported to the Secretary prior to league bwwling. New team members cannot be added to the team's roster in the final 2 weeks of the regular league schedule, or on the day of a Position Round, without the approval of the Board of Directors except when the team roster is less than the leagues playing strength.

a] Bowling fees are guaranteed to both the center and the league. TOTAL LEAGUE FEES ARE THE AMOUNT TO BE PAID BY THE BOWLER EACH WEEK.
b] Bowlers are responsible for league fees when they are absent and all fees must be made current upon their return or their team will forfeit all points until league fees are current.
c] Any bowler more than one (1) week behind in league fees is not eligible to bowl. If a bowler is absent for Two consecutive weeks without notifnng the team captain or the league secretary, that bowler will be dropped from the league. If the individual wants to return to bowl in this league, they must be approved by your Board of Directors to do so and must pay all back fees prior to returning.
d] Each team will prepay the last two (2) weeks league fees within the first 8 weeks of league.
e] The team captain is responsible for the collection of all fees and for delivering the payment envelope to the secretary by the completion of the first game.
f] Any shortages at the completion of the schedule will be deducted from the team's point money.

4. AWARDS
A special awards fee of $5.00 per team member ($20.00 per team). will be pald by the 8th week of the league schedule. A prize committee will be appointed by the President by the third week of the schedule to propose a prize list for the Board of Directors approval.

A member must have bowled 2/3 (70 games) of the schedule to quality for individual awards, and must be a member in good standing at the completion of the schedule. A bowler can qualify for only one special award for high series or high game, scratch or handicap. Series takes precedent over game, scratch over handicap. Most improved bowler will be calculated on a current 21 game average to the end of the schedule.

5. BANKING
All league money will be deposited through the Showplace Lanes League Checking Account, which is bonded and approved by the ABC/WIBC. Showplace Lanes will provide a monthly financial statement for the President and Secretary/Treasurer review.

The league will only accept personal checks from its members made payable to LAS VEGAS BOUND LEAGUE, except the LAST 3 WEEKS of the league schedule. There will be a service charge plus the amount of the check paid to the bowling center for all returned checks. The amount of the check(s) and the service charge will be deducted from the league's account upon receipt. League members are limited to no more than one (1) returned check before his/her checking privileges are revoked for the remainder of the bowling season.

6. LEGAL LINE-UP
To constitute a legal lineup, each team will have 2 regular members present at the completion of the first frame of any game in the series.

7. TARDY BOWLERS
Tardy bowlers will be allowed to catchup and compete provided they are in the center and ready to bowl before the opposing team has delivered the first ball of the fourth frame of the game in progress.

8. FORFEITURES / BYES
Teams bowling under a forfeit situation must bowl within 40 pins of their current average in order to win game points (120 pins for series). If at anytime a bye team has to be used, the opposing team will bowl under the same conditions as forfeits. Unearned points will not be awarded.

9. ENTERING AVERAGES
Bowler's entering average will be in the following order:

(1) Current Dallas book average in the L V B league carried for 9 games. if none,
(2) Highest current Dallas book average carried for 9 games, if none,
(3) Set with the 1st consecutive 3 games bowled in one day.

10. HANDICAP
The handicap will be 80% based on the difference between the two opposing Team's averages. Individual handicaps will be used for awards and sweeper and will be 80% of the difference between the bowlers current average and 200.

11. ABSENTEE AND VACANCY SCORES
Absentee score will be the absent bowler's current average less 10 pins, the handicap will be figured from the absent bowler's actual current average. Should a team have more than one member absent and need only one absentee score, the member with the most games bowled will be used as the absentee score. If both have the same number of games, the highest average will be used. Vacancy score will be 140 [for men] and 120 for women.

12. POSITION STANDINGS
The 7 point system will be used, with 2 points for each game won and 1 point for total pins. In the event of a tie on position round, standings will be determined by total pins.

13. PLAYOFF
If there is a tie at the end of either half there will be a 1 game roll-off to determine the winner of the half and it will be bowled immediately following final position round for the half. If there is a tie for a place position in the final team standings there will be a 3 game roll-off based on the total handicap series and it will be bowled on sweeper day.

14. SUBSTITUTES / PACERS
Roving substitutes will be allowed and the regular member is responsible for that week's league fees. Mixed teams may use male or female subs as long as they stay within their legal combination. Subs may not bowl in any position round or league sweeper. Subs are not eligible for league awards. Subs will be charged a fee of $5.00, which will be used to cover league shortages and remainder put into point money. Pacers will not be allowed.

15. POSTPONEMENTS / PRE-BOWLS
PRE-BOWLING and POST-BOWLING by teams will be alowed provided the league SECRETARY and OPPOSING TEAM CAPTAIN are notified 48 hours prior to the scheduled league time, except in cases of emergencies. It is the responsibility of the team pre-bowling or post-bowling to notify the league Secretary, and the Secretary's responsibility to notify the opposing team. The unopposed team may bowl their regularly scheduled games, unless both teams prefer to bowl at the same time on another day. If the scheduled lanes are not available, the Board of directors agree that any pair of lanes can be used at the discretion of the Bowling Center. Prebowled and Postbowled games must be bowled whereas a team must complete a team frame on one lane before starting the next frame on the adjoining lanes. All prebowled and postbowled games will be bowled at 1:00 pm on Saturday or Sunday ONLY BY RESERVATION made with the Bowling Center by the LEAGUE SECRETARY.
**All makeups must be bowled within 2 weeks or before next position round, whichever comes first, except in cases of emergencies.
**The league will not allow makeups or pre-bowled to be bowled for position rounds unless approved by the Board of Directors.
**Pre-bowled and post-bowled scores will not be seen by the opposing team, except after each game.

16. NOTICE TO LEAVE LEAGUE
Any member wishing to leave the league will find a replacement or pay 2 WEEKS LEAGUE FEES in advance and give 2 weeks written notice to the League Secretary. Members withdrawing from the league forfeit all prize money and awards. Rejoining the league requires approval of the Board of Directors.

17. SOLV TOURNANIENT
The league will participate 200 % in the SOLV tcornament (12/7/97). The $2.00 per member entry fee will be paid by the 8th week of the league schedule.

18. LAS VEGAS TRIP
A) Las Vegas trip will be taken on June 14-18,1998. League wishes to stay at a newer hotel. Suggestions for hotels are New York New York, Mirage, Excaliber, Hard Rock, Flamingo Hilton, Monte Carlo, Rio Suites etc. best deal we can get.

B) Cancellation of trip-If you cancel you reserveration for trip by January 1, l998, you will receive a full refund, after January 1,1998 you will forfeit $25.00, after tickets have been purchased NO REFUNDS. All cancellations must be in writing, no verbal cancellations will be excepted.

19. SANCTIONS
This league will be sanctioned by ABC and WIBC. Chapter IV League Rules 101-122 will be enforced. All bowlers, including subs, must prove sanction or purchase a card from the league Secretary on their first bowling date.
